We are currently looking for submissions for our Spring Issue. Submit by March 1st!
Congrats! You’re ready to submit your work! Submissions are open to students ages 11-22. To submit, please follow our guidelines below. When submitting, use a personal or parental email address.
Each submission should include a brief third person bio about themselves under 75 words. Submissions should include a title page with your name on it. Writers should include a a brief cover letter with publication history and any relevant content warnings. Stories should be double-spaced submission and use Times New Roman 12. Stories should be sent as a Word doc. We allow both simultaneous & international submissions, but we only accept previously unpublished works.
Fiction
Share up to three short stories, each under 1,000 words, that showcase your imagination and storytelling skills. We love vivid characters, compelling plots, and fresh perspectives.
Poetry
Share up to three original poems that reflect your voice, whether bold, reflective, or experimental. Each poem should be submitted as a separate file with clear titles.
PhotoS
Submit up to three high-quality photographs that tell a story, capture a moment, or reveal your creative eye. Include a brief caption for each photo explaining the context or inspiration behind it.
Non-Fiction
Submit up to three personal essays, reflections, or creative nonfiction pieces, each under 1,000 words. We’re looking for honest, vivid, and well-crafted stories from your perspective.
Art
Send us up to three of your best drawings, paintings, or digital creations that showcase your unique perspective and creativity. Files should be high resolution, and include a short description of each piece.
When you submit to The Crossroads Review you are providing us First Serial Rights as well as the right to archive your work on our site. Copyrights of all work published in The Crossroads Review belong with the author.
